John Amico Professional Haircare started in 1962, when John Amico created a line of hair care products for professional stylists to use in competitions. He soon realized there was a need for high-quality products that stylists could depend on to create the looks their clients wanted, so he created his own line of shampoos, conditioners and styling aids.

He was among the first to develop a product line just for professionals, and his innovation did not stop there -- he opened and operated cosmetology schools and salon chains across the country, and has been an authority in the beauty industry for decades.

Over 50 years ago, John Amico embarked on a journey to enrich stylists' lives by providing them with the products, tools, education and support they need, as well as the opportunity to expand their career by allowing them to share in the growth of a professional product and education company.

Today, John Amico Professional Haircare continues the tradition of providing education and opportunity.
